In Hurghada landed the first flight with the Russians

On February 14, the first plane with Russian travelers arrived in Hurghada since 2015.

Tour operator "Pegas Touristik" was able to bypass the ban on flights from Russia to the resorts of the Red Sea, and organized a flight with landing and refueling in Antalya. The reaction of Rostourism to the initiative is not yet known.

At Hurghada airport, the first Russian travelers were greeted with flowers and music. Mustafa Refaei, head of Pegas in Hurghada, said the company could fly seven flights to Hurghada airport in February, with a second flight on Friday.

In Russia continues the “waiting regime” of the resumption of flights to Egypt. Russian Transport Minister Yevgeny Dietrich spoke about the new inspection of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh airports.

The Egyptian side is optimistic – everyone is waiting for the final check of the new security systems at the airports of the resorts, and it will be possible to wait for the start of flights.
Officials at the Egyptian airport have been trained to operate the new security devices.

K. Mostovskaya, managing partner of the tour operator New Travelers, says that “After the New Year holidays, Egypt became the sales leader, ahead of sales of the UAE and European city tours <...> accommodation in hotels with all-inclusive meals in family rooms for parents with one or two children is in demand.”

Tours for 11-12 nights are most popular, the average purchase price is around 80-100 thousand rubles per family.

Demanded flights remain flights Moscow - Hurghada and Moscow - Sharm el-Sheikh with a transfer in Istanbul.
