The strongest earthquake that occurred in Japan on March 11 and caused tsunami waves up to 10 meters high on the east coast, has already been recognized as the most destructive in the history of the country. Tremors, reaching up to 9 points, became the fourth strongest fluctuations ever recorded by seismologists.

The earthquake provoked a series of fires and explosions at the country’s nuclear power plants, and in particular at the Fukushima-1 station. Due to violations of the reactor cooling system, radiation leaks occurred at the station.

Today, within a radius of 30 kilometers from Fukushima-1, the entire population has been completely evacuated. And work on the station itself due to increased radiation background is temporarily suspended. The military forces of Japan and the United States are trying to cope with the destruction that occurs in the reactors of nuclear power plants, the radiation background is gradually increasing.
