In London installed a copy of the destroyed Arc de Triomphe of Palmyra

An absolute repetition of the Arc de Triomphe, destroyed in the Syrian Palmyra, was installed in Trafalgar Square in London.
Information about this was published by the BBC. A large-scale model of the arch was made of Egyptian marble. It was reconstructed by specialists of the Institute of Digital Architecture of Britain. To help themselves, they took photos of the original object, and also used modern 3D modeling.
The Arc de Triomphe will also visit other cities around the world, such as Dubai and New York. A copy will be installed in Palmyra next year. Until this moment, residents of the most densely populated megacities in the world will be able to see the monument.
The representative of the protection of ancient monuments of Syria Maamun Abdulkarim notes that it is no longer possible to make the Arc de Triomphe as it was before the destruction, however, the complex of actions carried out by specialists is a tribute to Palmyra and the historical heritage that this ancient city possesses.
This became possible thanks to the coordinated work of Russian aviation and the Syrian government army.
