"The Great Volga Way": the first cruise to the regions of the Volga region will start in September
The first cruise to the regions of the Volga region "The Great Volga Road" will take place from September 18 to 28 (its length is more than 2.5 thousand km), tourists will visit 12 cities in 9 regions of Russia.
Yaroslav Marchenko, Deputy Director for Tourism of the Moscow River Shipping Company, said: “Tourists will travel on the premium-class ship Vasily Surikov, it is roomy and in impeccable technical condition <...> tourists can sit in almost any city along the route and go out in any city.”
The minimum cost from 3.5 thousand rubles per person per day with double accommodation.
In 2023, we will try to fill the market as much as possible and allocate another ship to this route. Perhaps, somehow we will work out the already exhibited ships so that the "Great Volga Way" gets the maximum coverage.
According to the Chairman of the State Committee of Tatarstan on Tourism Sergey Ivanov, there has always been a large number of cruises on the Volga, but routes under the brand name "Great Volga Way" have not existed until today.
In Tatarstan, tourists will visit the island-city of Sviyazhsk, Kazan, Great Bolgar, Tetyusha.
In the Ulyanovsk region, the programs “Ulyanovsk – Red Route”, “Simbirsk Quarter”, “Aviation Capital” and “Honest Merchant” are planned.
In the Republic of Mari El travelers will be able to visit Yoshkar-Ola with a transfer from Cheboksary.
The ship "Vasily Surikov" four-deck, maximum passenger capacity - 190 people. There are two- and three-seater cabins with shower, air conditioning and four half-lux cabins.
