Vietnam to lift restrictions on international flights from February 15
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam announced the lifting of restrictions on regular international passenger flights from February 15, 2022.
Vietnamese and foreign airlines can restart scheduled flights and restore their frequencies to 2019 values.
Our country officially resumed flights with Vietnam in January 2021.
The decision of Vietnam is aimed at supporting the national carrier Vietnam Airlines, which from the end of January 2022 resumed flights to foreign destinations: the United States, Thailand, Australia (since mid-March), France, Germany, Great Britain, South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Since February 8, 2022, the Vietnamese airline operates weekly flights on the route Hanoi-Moscow.
Departures to Moscow are announced on Fridays, return flight - on Saturdays. Tariffs start from 75,494 R. in both directions.
With a connection to Hanoi, Vietnam Airlines offers flights from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City (81 30 roubles per passenger), Nha Trang (81 350 roubles) and Fu Quoc (117 800 roubles back and forth).
The initiative of the Vietnamese authorities will expand the volume of transportation from Russia, but it is too early to talk about restoring the previous pre-pandemic volumes, provided the current rules of entry are maintained.
