On May 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the opening ceremony of the Crimean Bridge, the movement of passenger and public transport on it from both sides will open on May 16.
The press service of the President informs: "The solemn event on the occasion of the opening of the bridge will be attended by workers, engineers, heads of industry and regions - a huge team that completed the construction task six months ahead of schedule."
During the ceremony, a column of construction equipment will pass along the road. The event will be attended by representatives of bridge teams from different regions of the country, who took part in the construction of the bridge. The state contract provided for the launch of automobile traffic in December 2018, but the first stage of the object will be commissioned six months ahead of the appointed deadline.
The movement of cars on the Crimean bridge will open on May 16 at 05:30 MSK, and the first on it will pass local residents - Crimeans and Kubans. The movement will be launched immediately from the two banks of the Kerch Strait - two lanes in each direction, the maximum permitted speed will be 90 km / h. It will be possible to enter the road approaches to the Crimean Bridge from the Taman and Kerch peninsulas an hour before the opening of the traffic - at 4:30 am on May 16.
