Vladimir Putin signed the law on the introduction of the resort fee

Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 29 signed the law on the introduction of the resort fee, July 30 it was published on the Official portal of legal information.

The collection will be introduced as an experiment from 2018 to 2022 in the Crimea, Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories. Next year it will be no more than 50 rubles, then it can be doubled.

The fee for the use of the resort infrastructure will be charged only to adult citizens who will be in the region for a day or more. Also, federal beneficiaries, low-income families, as well as persons accompanying disabled people of the first group and disabled children will be free from the fee.

To collect and distribute funds, a special Fund for the development of resort infrastructure will be created, and then the money will be credited to the budgets of the experimental regions themselves. It is estimated that only from the clients of the tour operator Biblio Globus, the treasury of the Krasnodar Territory can receive about 250 million rubles in 2018, in the future the figures will double.

In the public environment, the initiative to introduce a resort fee was met with ambiguity. In particular, “Opora of Russia” called it anti-advertising of Russian resorts. Opinion of tour operators: an unpopular measure can exacerbate the emerging stagnation in the field of domestic tourism.
