The authorities of St. Petersburg called the condition of cancellation of restrictions on COVID-19
Irina Chkhingeria, Head of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Rospotrebnadzor for St. Petersburg, noted that the new restrictions on COVID-19 will be in effect until vaccinations make 80% of the population subject to vaccination.
“The objective is to vaccinate at least 80 per cent. This is a general requirement... Herd immunity should be achieved through vaccination. And now we need to understand that we are in this situation for a long time. We need to calmly, without panic, accept this as a necessary measure.
In the future, the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 will be held annually, as is done with influenza.
