How many times in 2021 decreased foreign tourist flow to Russia?
According to the Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, in 2021, foreign tourists made 288.3 thousand trips to Russia, which is 17.5 times less than in pre-pandemic 2019.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia reports that the most noticeable decrease in the incoming tourist flow from Israel — 167 times (from 200 thousand people in 2019 to 1.2 thousand in 2021), from Italy, South Korea, France, China, Great Britain and Spain.
The ranking of the leading countries of inbound tourism in current realities is formed on the principle of accessibility of air transportation and open borders.
In 2021, Cuba came in first place in terms of the number of foreign guests: 72.4 thousand citizens of the country visited Russia, which is three times more than in 2019.
In second place is Germany (38.1 thousand), the third UAE (26.4 thousand). The list also includes Turkey, India, Qatar, Kazakhstan, the United States, Serbia and Armenia.
