Negligence of the Crimean guide almost cost the lives of tourists

Two Moscow tourists lost in the mountains of the Bakhchysarai district of Crimea due to the negligence of the guide who led the tourist group, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reported.

The tourist group made a hike along the route "Tea House parking lot - Besh-Tekne". Information about the missing tourists came to rescuers about 18.00 on Monday.

Igor Miroshnichenko, head of the Bakhchisarai detachment of the state-owned institution “Crimea Spas”, explained that the girls fell behind the detachment in the morning, but the guide asked for help only in the evening, which indicates his unprofessionalism and arrogance. Miroshnichenko said that such an attitude of the head of the group could cost Muscovites their lives.

The rescue team immediately responded to the call. In three hours, they traveled 47 kilometers. Near midnight, rescuers received a message from a forester that the tourists were found in the area of the Tea House parking lot. To make the call, the forester had to overcome 10 kilometers, rescuers said.

“Rescuers moved to the specified place and at 01.10 assisted lost tourists – a 29-year-old resident of Moscow and a 25-year-old guest from the Moscow region,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The victims were evacuated from the mountainous zone. They did not need medical attention.
