For emotions and culture: where do young people go in Russia
According to RIA Novosti, the President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) Ilya Umansky noted the growing interest of Russian youth in domestic tourism.
Young travelers are increasingly choosing non-standard routes – they are attracted by unique natural phenomena and the distinctive culture of Russian regions.
Among the most popular destinations are the Russian North and the mountainous regions of Dagestan: the latter Umansky directly called the top route for young people. A special group of tourists are 30-year-old girls: they go on trips in companies, seeking to immerse themselves in the local culture.
As the head of the PCT explained, the main thing for the younger generation is to get sincere, vivid impressions. This is what tourists expect from trips, and best of all such emotions are given by unique natural locations. At the same time, acquaintance with the traditions and customs of different peoples of Russia remains no less important for young travelers.
