Sandals Resorts, which provides its customers with vacations in premium hotels in the Caribbean, regularly conducts various surveys. The last one, which was attended by two thousand people, touched on the topic of why people marry abroad. 47% of interviewees said they didn’t really want to get married abroad, but had to do so to avoid inviting crowds of distant relatives and unfamiliar people. Another study showed that many people like to celebrate such a significant event twice: once at home and another in some exotic country. Among those who are planning to celebrate a wedding, 54 percent will do so at home and 46 percent will travel.
