Foreign passport of the new sample has risen
From August 3, obtaining a biometric passport will cost 1500 rubles more.
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, amended the Tax Code in July: from August 3, the state duty for issuing a biometric passport in Russia will be 5,000 rubles for adults and 2,500 rubles for children under 14 years old.
Earlier, residents of Russia for a new document with an electronic media had to pay 3,500 and 1,500 rubles, respectively. Biometric passport is issued for 10 years.
According to statistics, more passports were issued in 2018 than in 2017. So, from January to March last year, 732 00 Russians issued them, and during the same time of the current year - more than 1 million.
The term of production of a passport at the place of permanent residence is one month.
From February 1, 2018, Russians have the opportunity to issue a new generation document in the MFC. Previously, through multifunctional centers, it was possible to apply for it, and get an old-style passport. In the centers it is possible to pay the state fee.
Earlier it was reported that the increase in the cost of a foreign passport is associated with an increase in the cost of the state budget for the provision of services for the issuance of documents.
