Railway tickets can be purchased only 45 days before departure

RZD temporarily returned to the old rules for the advance sale of train tickets. It is about buying tickets for the summer.

Taking into account the tendency to reduce passenger traffic and increase the number of returned tickets due to the lack of opportunity for passengers to plan their travels, Russian Railways Holding decided to reduce the depth of ticket sales for long-distance trains departing from June 29, 2020.

Russian Railways says the depth of rail ticket sales is "returned to regulatory values." In accordance with the Rules for the transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo baggage by rail (Order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia dated 19.12.2013 No. 473 (ed. from 14.11.2018)), travel documents are issued no later than 45 days before the date of departure of the train.

It is noted that this is a temporary decision, and Russian Railways will return to the previous conditions for ticket sales after the removal of restrictions associated with the adverse epidemiological situation, when passengers will be able to freely plan trips.
