Description:
This area of Moscow for a long time, until the XVII century, was not densely populated and built up. Here stretched arable fields, gardens and royal gardens. Over time, numerous settlements began to appear, in which mainly artisans and craftsmen lived and worked. Since the XIX century, the area behind the Moscow River was chosen by the merchant class. In Zamoskvorechye merchant families lived according to a special way of life and home routine.
