Mini hotel "Fortezia Peter" in St. Petersburg

st. Petersburg, St. Million, 29

About the company:

The hotel is located in a secluded courtyard in the heart of the St. Petersburg “golden triangle”, flooded with tourists, and we do not give outdoor advertising on Millionnaya. Therefore, remember a simple and very short route:
On the odd side of the Millionnaya you walk from the Hermitage Atlanteans (this is house 35), cross the Winter groove (narrow channel), pass houses 33 and 31 and press the bell button at the gate to the arch of house 29. The entrance to the hotel is the first entrance in the courtyard to the left of the arch.

A little history... And plans.

The first developer of the site was the associate of Peter I, the shipmaster Gavrila Menshikov, the last pre-revolutionary owner of the house - the uncle of Nicholas II, Grand Duke Vladimir, who lived in the neighboring palace (No. 27 on the Millionnaya) and rented apartments in the Reserve House to prominent dignitaries and magnates. Here lived the Duke of Leuchtenberg, maid of honor Annenkov, railway king Polyakov, restaurateur Kuba and others.
Currently, the construction of the second stage of the Fortezia Peter hotel is underway, which will include 24 spacious rooms, a living room, a dining room, open areas on the roof (in the lintel of the house 29 between the “million” and “Nevsky” yards).

Nearest (and Less Known) Accessibility

The Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir (now the House of Scientists). The main entrance with the Palace Embankment (house 26). The interiors of the palace are perfectly preserved. Especially interesting are the office of the Grand Duke, living rooms, ballroom, dining room, Moorish boudoir.
The old Winter Palace of Peter the Great, hidden inside the later built Hermitage Theatre. Entrance from Palace Embankment, house 34.
On Millionnaya, pay attention to the mansion of Duke Biron with columns of gray Estonian granite (house 22, now the Sports Committee). From here, the Duke in 1741 was taken into exile in Pelym.
