Excursion program "The Tale of Ancient Novgorod". You will visit the Yaroslavov Palace, an architectural complex of the XII-XVII centuries, the political and economic center of the Novgorod Veche Republic. Having made a walk along the most beautiful embankment of the Volkhov River (here the famous path "from the Varangians to the Greeks") and the "humpback" Volkhov Bridge,
You will get to the Kremlin - "Detinets": so the ancient Novgorodians called the holiest place in the ancient city: the walls and towers of the Kremlin, the famous monument "Millennium of Russia", St. Sophia Cathedral (XI century) bell tower of St. Sophia Cathedral of the XVII century, ancient bells of Veliky Novgorod (XVI-XVII centuries).
Excursion to the Hagia Sophia Cathedral is the oldest church in Russia, a symbol of the eternity of the city, where one of the most revered icons in Russia is kept - the miraculous icon "Signs of the Mother of God".
Free time: a boat trip to Ilmen Lake is possible (for an additional fee).
20-00 to 23-30 - Theatrical show "Novgorod Veche" in the Kremlin - time travel. The ancient city will greet you with buffoon fun, songs of Boyan, military fun, medieval games and dances. Interactive platforms will be opened: “war yard”, “game glade”, “torture yard”, “literate yard” and much, much more.
In the craft ranks you can buy souvenirs, and in the workshops of folk craftsmen - make them with their own hands.
At the Strelets and Ratny yards, good people will be able to show their talent and learn how Russian soldiers fought. Children, as well as adults, will be able to have fun with traditional Russian games at Skomoroshy and the Game Courts. In the refectory you can taste dishes prepared according to ancient Russian recipes.
The program will be continued by a bright colorful theatrical performance “Novgorod Veche”. Directly under the open sky, the actors play out episodes of Novgorod history, as if taking place on Veche Square.

The Museum of Folk Wooden Architecture “Vitoslavlitsy” is an open-air museum where architectural masterpieces of wooden architecture are presented: churches, huts, chapels, barns, mills. You will visit Russian huts, touch the life of the Russian village of the XVI-XVIII centuries, learn a lot of folk divinations and signs.
Excursion to St. Yurievsky active monastery and its main temple St. George Cathedral. The secrets of underground passages, the secrets of ancient masters, the secrets of the ancient Rurikov Fortress - will be solved during the tour. We will hear many legends about the Baptism of the Novgorodians “by fire and sword”, and also learn how monks live today on the Peryn hermitage.
