Zurich

Zurich and Rhine Falls

Description:

Just 50 km north of Zurich on the Rhine is the largest waterfall in Europe with an elevation difference of 23 meters.

In good weather, the water of the Rhine seems emerald, and the beauty of the cascades of water can be admired for a long time.

Thanks to the bridge over the Rhine, you can take beautiful pictures from both banks. On the cliff of the left bank there is an old hotel, turned into a museum and an excellent restaurant, from where an amazing view of the waterfall opens.

After lunch, we move to one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland – Zurich, which remembers the rehearsals of the Middle Ages and even the apartment where the leader of the proletariat V. I. Lenin rented a room.

A walk along the Limmat River in the center of Zurich will take about 2.5-3 hours and involves visiting the Fraumünster and Grossmünster cathedrals, Hochschulen, Rathaus, Lindenhof quarters. In the historical area, the main churches of Zurich and medieval mansions were concentrated. Some buildings were erected in the XI century.
