This official date is considered the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia - the birthday of the Abkhazian army.

The decree on the creation of the Armed Forces of Abkhazia was signed in the midst of the Patriotic War. The armed forces of Abkhazia were created in combat conditions, in conditions of a real, cruel war, the war for the independence of the republic.

Even today, a powerful and modern army is the main guarantee of the existence of an independent Abkhazian state. That is why the Abkhaz army is distinguished by its high combat capability, because the fate of the nation and the entire state depended on it.
