International Day for the Protection of Children

Children's DayInternational Children’s Day is a day of mobilization of world public opinion for the fight to protect children from the threat of war, for the preservation of children’s health, for the implementation of their upbringing and education on a democratic basis.

In Abkhazia, festive events dedicated to the “Day of Protection of Children” are held on this day. Parks and children's centers host exhibitions of children's drawings, festive performance with clowns, pranks, competitions, sports, competitions, songs, dances and gifts to children.

In Sukhum, concerts are held in the State Philharmonic, on the theater square a theatrical performance with the participation of actors of the Russian Drama Theater.

Festive events dedicated to the “International Children’s Day” are held in other cities of Abkhazia, and traditionally end with colorful fireworks.
