New Year
Description:
The holiday of the Abkhazians is celebrated with the words “Chaanybziala ashykus chits!” (Happy New Year!). On New Year’s Eve, festive tables are bursting with an abundance of national dishes, fruits and sweets. Everyone goes to each other to visit, dance, sing, drink homemade wine to the accompaniment of traditional toast.
According to the old tradition, children go to their neighbors and tell them a poem: “We sow, we sow, Happy New Year...!”, and they in turn give them sweets and all kinds of sweets.
Naturally, it does not do without a traditional salute, which adults and children are going to see.
