About the company:

The private house-museum of Hetsuriani, named in honor of its founder, collector and folk craftsman George Hetsuriani. He devoted his entire life to collecting original exhibits of his country’s history and ethnography. The Khetsuriani House Museum is a very colorful place for many tourists.

This museum can be found near Pitsunda, in the village of Lizawa. It contains many ancient household items, stuffed animals, models of rural houses, collections of samovars, postcards and photographs, products of folk craftsmen from all over Abkhazia. There is even a Mercedes phaeton in the collection, which belonged to Prince Oldenburg, the founder of the city of Gagra. The exterior of the building is no less attractive than the exhibition inside the house, because large bas-reliefs and other forged parts were made by the founder of the museum.

The Khetsuriani complex is also the Old Mill Tavern and the Hunter’s House. On the territory of the house-museum of Hetsuriani there is also a boarding house, in which every visitor is hospitable.
