Seaside Park

Seaside Park, located in the heart of New Athos, was laid out by the monks who once founded the New Athos monastery. At the beginning of 1880, seven ponds were dug here, the bottom of which is lined with stone tiles, and the maximum depth is almost two meters. The monks bred carp, carp and mullet here for the needs of the brethren. Officially, the New Athos Seaside Park was opened in the summer of 1910 for the arrival of the royal family.

In Soviet times there were beautiful plaster sculptures reflecting the spirit of those times. The main decoration of the seaside park now are families of white swans living freely on ponds. Near the lakes there are small cozy benches where you can relax and enjoy the coolness on a sultry summer day. The picturesque landscape of the park is complemented by weeping willows and palm trees, as well as many small neat flower beds. A visit to the seaside park can be an unforgettable pastime for you and your family. Here you can not only relax, but also take a lot of beautiful photos.
