New Athos Cave is one of the largest and most visited caves, which is located in Abkhazia, directly under the slope of the Iver Mountain.
The largest in size karst cavity has a total area of about a million cubic meters. The New Athos landmark has long attracted numerous tourists of the country with its halls and wriggling meanders.
Tourists can visit the pedestrian path, which is 1,400 m long and observation platforms with equipped high-art lighting. The inner part of the cave is represented by hundreds of thousands of crystals, which belong to different types, and also have the most unusual forms and variety of colors. The creators of this unique tourist complex were awarded the State Prize.
