Mermaid sculpture

The sculpture "Mermaid" is located in the city of New Athos, Abkhazia. You can not always see an unusual sculpture made of stone, because it is located on a small spur, in the depression of the rock, along which the waters of the New Athos waterfall, located next to the famous New Athos monastery, flow.

Mysterious long-haired stone mermaid with a sad expression embraces himself with both hands, as if hiding from cold water. It then appears behind the streams of the waterfall, then completely disappears. It is rare to see the entire sculpture. Many tourists try to catch this moment, but not everyone succeeds.
