Red Bridge
Description:
The Red Bridge is located in Abkhazia city of Sukhum. It is thrown over the Basla River, was built about a hundred years ago. It got its name from the fact that it was painted red.
The Red Bridge is a local landmark. It is known for the first defensive line during the Georgian-Abkhaz war. Previously, barracks for officers of the Sukhum Reserve Regiment were located on its left bank.
Now at this place are military sanatoriums - air defense and MVO.
