Dioskurov Embankment

The embankment of Dioskurov is a long road, which smoothly passes into the embankment of the Makhadzhirs. Between them there is virtually no clear border and differences, because both are paved with stonework and decorated with beautiful columns, each of them offers a magnificent view of the sea.

Walking along the embankment, you can not only admire the sea, but also look at the architecture of the city, because on the other side there are old, colorful houses that are more than 100 years old. Also here you can see the old Ferris wheel, which is very rusty and has not worked for a long time. A wonderful embankment is a beautiful park with original coniferous plants and palm trees, whose presence here creates a magnificent atmosphere. The street gets its name from the ancient city of Dioscuriada, which was destroyed more than 2000 years ago.

On warm summer evenings, there is no better and more romantic place in Sukhum than on the illuminated embankment of Dioskurov.
