Sanatorium "Apsny" is located in a picturesque corner of Sukhum at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level at the junction of sea and mountain air, which creates a unique health microclimate. The sanatorium occupies two floors of the four-storey building of the Scientific Research Center of Resortology and Alternative Medicine of the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia and is equipped on its basis. The building of the Center was built in 1905 by Russian philanthropist Count Alferov. Distance from the sanatorium to the sea (5-10 minutes on foot). The absence of a busy highway near the sanatorium creates favorable conditions for a calm and comfortable rest. And from the rooms there is a magnificent view of the Sukhum Bay or the mountains. Today, the sanatorium is designed for 36 places. Rooms 2 and 3 local with a veranda, with sea views, area, 22, 24 and 32 sq.m. In rooms with an area of 24 square meters - two single standard beds, a TV, a wardrobe in the hallway, a corner for rest on the veranda. In rooms of 32 sq.m. - three single standard beds, TV, wardrobe in the hallway, a corner for rest on the veranda. Rooms with an area of 22 square meters with mountain views - two single standard beds, a TV, a wardrobe. All rooms of the sanatorium have a compact bathroom - shower, washbasin, toilet. Water supply: cold and hot water - constantly. Vacationers are offered three meals a day, a diet table, as well as the opportunity to enjoy dishes of national cuisine. The afternoon in the sanatorium free consists of a glass of kefir or local matzoni. At night, in the glazed panoramic hall of the dining room there is boiling water and therapeutic water from the springs. In the sanatorium, complex treatment of diseases of the respiratory organs, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and nervous systems is carried out. The cost of living in a sanatorium for 2015 (per person / day) - is set according to the price from June to October. It includes: accommodation, food. Sanatorium-resort treatment is paid additionally according to the number of procedures prescribed by the doctor. The doctor's appointment is free. Who does not require sanatorium treatment, the sanatorium can offer for rest two and three local rooms with all amenities at a price of 1450 rubles per day per person. Accommodation without sanatorium treatment with 3 meals a day will cost 1450 rubles. Accommodation of children up to 2 years without space and food is free. For an additional fee, you can see the sights of Abkhazia (Gagra, Pitsunda, Lake Ritsa, New Athos with a visit to the cave, excursions to holy places, etc.). In the immediate vicinity of the sanatorium are located: Pantheon of writers and public figures on Sukhum Mountain with a forest park created in 1949-1952 with an area of 32 hectares, Sukhumi Botanical Garden, State Museum, monkey nursery, State Philharmonic, Abkhaz and Russian drama theaters.
