Beautiful excursion in Albania - Albanian Riviera

Description:

Dear travelers, I invite you to one of the most beautiful excursions in Albania – the famous Albanian Riviera. In one day you can see all the most interesting things in the south of the country - Vlora, Logara National Park, Borsch, Saranda, Xamil, Blue Eye and Gjirokastra. Our adventures begin at 6 a.m., when I pick you up at the hotel in a comfortable Mercedes and we drive to our first destination. The journey to Vlora takes about two hours. We will explore the historic bright city center, which reminds many of one of the Italian towns, and drink fragrant strong coffee with freshly baked croissants in one of the cozy cafes located on this street. Then we will walk along the modern promenade, Lunge Mare, whose chic views will remain in your memory for a long time. After passing through a small tunnel, we will see the place where two seas meet, the Adriatic and the Ionian. Enjoying breathtaking sea and mountain scenery, we begin to gain altitude and climb 1000 meters above sea level. Admire the chic panorama of the Ionian Sea, feed cute deer in the Logara National Park and stop for a delicious breakfast in one of the cafes with luxurious views of the turquoise sea. Backed by natural yogurt with nuts and honey or scrambled eggs from home eggs, we continue our picturesque path along the sea. On the way, we will stop for small photo shoots in the most delightful places – Palace, Dermi, Porto Palermo, etc. We will see the place where the naval base of the Soviet Union used to be, and where submarines came. And again stop to eat or refresh with soft drinks in a cozy cafe in Borsch, which is right in the mesmerizing waterfall. Back on the winding road through mountains and forests. We have already driven 250 km and we are greeted by Saranda, the southern gate of Albania. Here we walk along the modern embankment, admire the cleanest sea, yachts and liners, exotic flowers and palm trees, take a couple of dozen photos and head to our next point, to Xamil. Do you know why they call it the Albanian Maldives? Because of its crystal clear waters and small green islets located opposite the beach. Here you have free time (1.5 h) - enjoy the Maldivas and dine fresh fish or seafood in one of the coastal restaurants. After lunch and refreshment, we go to the Blue Eye. This is a karst spring, whose depth can not be accurately measured due to the strong pressure of water. The blue eye is called because of its shape and color. Parking the car, we will have to walk through the park for 15-20 minutes to the source. Throughout the year, the water temperature is +12 degrees Celsius, so not everyone dares to plunge into this source. But if you are a hardened person, then this opportunity will be. After seeing the sight, we return to the car and drive to the final point of our journey. Gjirokastra is called the city of silver roofs, it is a city-museum and the hometown of the Albanian communist dictator Enver Hoxha. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. Of course, you want to spend more than one day, carefully examining all the houses and streets, the fortress, museums, but we will have only an hour to walk along the central streets and buy local souvenirs in the market square. Next, our road back to Durres will take about 3 hours. Return to the hotel at approximately 23-24.00.
