Lake Engolasters

Lake Engolasters is located at an altitude of 1616 m above sea level among picturesque deciduous forests near the town of Encamp. You can get by car already along the paved route along a steep slope.
The place is truly legendary. According to one legend, the lake was formed due to the invasion of divine waters, which were to punish for greed one beautiful woman who once lived in the village. This impious beauty refused a piece of bread to a wanderer passing by. And this wanderer according to legend was none other than Jesus Christ.
