River Valira

valira, Andorra

Description:

The Pyrenees River is the largest hydrological object of this area. It runs through Andorra and Spain. Andorra, being a very compact country, is almost all permeated with sleeves and tributaries of the river.

Valira's current has a Y-shaped shape, so it happened at the merger of its two arms in the community of Escaldes-Engordan. Its mouth is located in an area called Seo de Urgell. And its tributary Rune is a natural border with Spain.

Flowing through rough terrain, this strong and turbulent river forms many extremely pleasant landscapes. For this reason, its shores are intensively built. All over the country along the banks of Valira there are wonderful places for recreation.
