Seth Panis Castle

Set Panis Castle (house of Seth Panis) is located in the most interesting district of the proud, Barry Antique - in the past there was an ancient village from which Andorra la Vella grew.

The name "Set Panis" translates as "trench behind seven locks" - at one time in this impregnable building were placed for safekeeping important state documents. According to the law, the house could be opened only if all representatives of the districts of the capital, who had the keys to the front door locks, gathered together.

In the Barri Antique quarter, in addition to the Seth Panis Castle, other historical sights of Andorra la Vella are also concentrated: the current building of the country's parliament - Casa de la Val, the building of the national library of Andorra, Sala de la Giustisia - the only court building in the whole country.
