Good Friday

Good Friday.The service on Good Friday is dedicated to the remembrance of the death on the cross of Jesus Christ, the removal of his body from the cross and his burial.

According to legend, Jesus was captured and condemned in a staged trial. He was handed over to Roman soldiers for beatings and whipping. The sharp, long thorns of the wreath of thorns worn on him penetrated into his head.

Jesus was forced to carry his cross outside the city to the hill to the frontal place (Golgotha). He was so weak after the beating that the soldiers forced Simon the Cyrene, who sympathized with Jesus, to carry his cross. Jesus was nailed to the cross. Two other prisoners were crucified with him.

Christians believe that Jesus is with us, that he died to atone for our sins.
