Dorego Square
Don AnselmoAieta 1052-1100, Buenos Aires, Ciudad Aut noma de Buenos Aires, Argentina 19 mW
Description:
Plaza Dorrego is one of the oldest squares in Buenos Aires. Its small size does not prevent it from being a very popular place among tourists and locals.
The largest number of people visit this square on weekends, when it becomes part of a grand fair that forms in the San Telmo area of 270 counters. These counters are full of rare things and products of local craftsmen.
The fair is accompanied by all kinds of performances, among which a special place is occupied by dancers performing Argentine tango. The most courageous of visitors can take a couple of free passion dance lessons, if they are not confused by the curious glances of onlookers.
Those who do not like noisy gatherings can plan their walk on weekdays, when the life of the square proceeds more or less moderately. Then you can safely enjoy the monuments and surrounding architecture. But hope for absolute peace and grace is not necessary – street musicians, artists and live statues entertain visitors every day.
Countless bars and cafes – these are the places that will allow you to hide from an excessively busy walk and relax a little. Just a little bit! There is still a lot of interesting things ahead...
