Description:

Corrientes Avenue is one of the most famous streets in Buenos Aires, where life boils around the clock, as there are many entertainment and cultural venues.

In the 18th century, the street was called San Nicolas, and in the early nineteenth received its current name. At first it was an ordinary street, but it began to grow rapidly as the city began to expand westward. Over time, this street turned into a large avenue consisting of more than sixty blocks.

The cultural part of Corrientes Avenue is represented by opera and ballet theaters, the most famous of which are General San Martin and Grand Rex, as well as numerous cinemas. There are a large number of bookstores, where sellers are so kind that they allow the buyer to choose books for hours, looking at each of them for a long time. Well, lovers of nightlife will undoubtedly be interested in cafes and restaurants, and each such institution has its own individual charm.
