Federal Police Museum (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
San Martí n 301-399, Buenos Aires, Argentina
About the company:
The Federal Police Museum in Buenos Aires was founded in 1899 and is the oldest institution of its kind in Latin America. Throughout the last century, the museum has repeatedly moved because the ever-growing number of exhibits required more and more space. Finally, in 1967, the museum found permanent shelter in a rather spacious building, where it is still located today, occupying two floors.
The museum includes criminal, historical and technical expositions. The number of exhibits of the museum exceeds 10 thousand, among which are of particular interest sets of thieves' locks, as well as very skillfully forged securities.
Initially, the museum was created to train police officers and forensic experts, but now its exhibits are available to everyone.
