About the company:
The Xul Solar Museum is dedicated to the painting by Argentine artist Alejandro Xul Solar. It is located in Argentina, Buenos Aires, in the house where the artist lived. Most of his work is located here.
Xul Solar is a solar painter depicting reality, born in 1887. During his stay in Italy, he took up painting seriously. His works were poorly received by his contemporaries, but Xul claimed to be writing reality. His only major exhibition was held in Paris in 1962, a year before his death. In the work of Xul Solar, the ideas and motifs of Kabbalah and astrology, Buddhism and the ancient Chinese book of changes “I-Tsing”, as well as the ideas of Russian avant-garde painting are combined.
The Xul Solar Museum was designed by architect Pablo Beitia. In the backyard of the house there is a garden, and on the upper floors there is a terrace, where the artist mainly lived. His work is on display in this house.
