Moron Airport

Description:

Moron Airport is one of the airports of Argentina.

The airport is located in Morona, Buenos Aires province. It was opened in the 1940s on lands donated to the state by the Merlot Gomez family. The area of the airport is 439 hectares.

In 1948, a large airport building was opened, which was used only for a year, after which Eseisa Airport opened, and Moron Airport ceased to be an international airport. Prior to the opening of Eseiza International Airport, Moron was Argentina’s main airport.

The airport now houses the National Institute of Civil Aviation and the National Aeronautics Museum of Argentina.
