Rio de la Plata Airport is one of the airports of Argentina.
It is located five kilometers from the city center of La Plata in the province of Buenos Aires. The airport has a passenger terminal measuring 60 square meters and two runways 1427 and 1100 meters long.
Currently, La Plata Airport serves mainly flight schools, as well as charter and private flights. The airport is also a base of aircraft designed to fight fires.
In 2012, work began to expand and restore the runways of the airport. After this work, La Plata Airport will be able to receive large aircraft.
