Córdoba

Church of the Holy Heart

Buenos Aires 599-699, Có rdoba, Argentina

Description:

The Church of the Sacred Heart is one of the most striking and interesting sights of the Argentine city of Cordoba. Impressive with its appearance, the building built in the Gothic style tirelessly attracts the attention of tourists.

The construction of the church began in 1926, and was completed only in 1934. The construction of the church was led by the Italian architect Augusto Ferrari.

The architecture of the building not only looks impressive, but also quite symbolic. The church has two towers, symbolizing the duality of humanity - a truncated tower indicates the imperfection of man, and the spire crowning the second tower symbolizes his soul.
