National Route 7 - Km 175 - Puente del Inca - Las Heras, Mendoza, Argentina
Description:
A real miracle of nature – a bridge of natural origin awakens philosophical reflections on the mystery of the universe. It tries to solve every climber who is going to conquer the famous Aconcagua.
Three of the most beautiful Mayan legends tell about the appearance of this bridge. But they all echo one thing – the bridge appeared to save lives, and whether it was petrified wars or the will of the gods of the moon and sun or just stone landslides – not so important.
The bridge is surrounded by thermal springs, in the healing ability of which believed so much that even built a hospital here. But for a short time it brought income to resourceful owners – a mountain avalanche left only one chapel, which now adds even more mystery to this strange place.
Not far from the bridge is a small village, the station which turned into a haven for climbers. There is also a museum that tells mountain travelers about the history of ascents to Aconcagua.
Philosophy and extreme, history and mythology – Inca Bridge is a real find for tourists.
