About the company:

The City Memorial Museum in Mendoza is a museum imitating an earthquake. Inside the museum there is a famous, so-called, shaking room. In the exhibition halls of the museum there are many materials about earthquakes that destroyed almost everything around.

The museum was established in 2009 on the site of the former San Martin station. The museum presents various exhibits dedicated to the theme of the earthquake. The most dangerous seismic site in Argentina is the St. John’s area. There have been four official earthquakes since 1944, but there have actually been many more. In the exhibition halls of the museum there are captured facts of the tragedy in photos. Visitors are shown a video about the tragedy of an earthquake, in a few minutes you can feel the emotions of people, the behavior of animals and understand what an earthquake really is.

The museum is popular among local youth. It will also be of interest to young visitors, as there is a small attraction - a shaking room.
