Los Glaciares National Park
Description:
Los Glaciares is a national park located in Argentina. Los Glaciares is Spanish for "glaciers". On this part of the planet only in this national park conditions are ideal for the development of ice formations. The park is famous for its giant ice cap in the Patagonian Andes, which includes 47 glaciers. The most magnificent of them is the active Perito Morino. It is called active because huge fragments break off from it all the time. That trait makes him special.
In addition to its main attraction, Los Glaciares Park is also proud of its lakes Viedma and Lago Argentino, to which several glaciers descend, and the lakes themselves pass into the Santa Cruz River.
Maybe Los Glaciares is not one of those parks where you can always admire the beautiful animals and marvel at the beauty of rare plants, but there is no denying that the views of this area are excellent: ice mountains and lakes give it fabulous views.
