Lakes Escondido and Fagnano in Ushuaia

Lakes Escondido and Fagnano are surrounded by a picturesque area rich in various plants, animals and birds. Lakes are popular places for visitors to the region.

Lake Fagnano is located 40 kilometers from Lake Escondido and is one of the largest in the world. The lake occupies an area on a plate fault and is surrounded by virgin forests, where various birds and animals, including albatrosses and petrels, live. A feature of the lake is the unusual color of the water.
