Haberton Manor
Harburton Manor is located 85 kilometers east of Ushuaia
Description:
Harburton Manor is the oldest Tierra del Fuego farm and an important historical monument in the region. In 1999 it was declared a National Historic Monument of Argentina.
The estate was founded by English missionary Thomas Bridges in 1886. Today, the estate belongs to his descendants. Despite the status of a historical monument, the farm still contains about 1,000 head of cattle. The estate also owns a family cemetery, flower beds, a woodworking shop, a boat pier and a botanical garden.
Visitors can also visit the Museum of the History of Seabirds and Mammals or observe penguins nesting near the estate.
There is a regular bus service between the estate and Ushuaia, available in the season from October to April.
