Property prices in Thailand

Now many people appreciate not only the charms of an exotic holiday in Thailand, but also are interested in the opportunities to buy real estate in Thailand for the purpose of living or renting. Such interest is caused by the attractive nature, warm climate, stable economic and political situation in the country, and most importantly – affordable real estate prices and the absence of taxes on it. This is the difference between Thailand and Europe.

The highest prices for real estate in Pattaya, Koh Samui, Bangkok, Phuket, are expected to increase prices in the resort town of Hua Hin, famous for respectability and golf clubs. Cheaper housing in the northeastern part of Thailand, where prices and living standards are lower than in resort areas. The most Russian is the Thai city of Pattaya, which is the leader in the acquisition of commercial real estate in Thailand. Usually, the purchase of houses and buildings is made to create a tourist business.

Apartments or condominiums are the most popular and inexpensive housing options. They have a developed infrastructure, security and management company. The most attractive apartments with sea views.

Villas – estates with pool facilities on a separate plot of land are usually bought for long-term residence of the owners or for long-term rental, which brings a good profit.

Another common type of real estate in the country can be called townhouses - these are apartment buildings with a vertical layout on several floors. Such buildings are used for the use of the first floor for business, and the upper - as residential apartments. The cost of such housing is lower than apartments in high-rise buildings.

Buying a cottage or a private house is a more expensive option than an apartment, but cheaper than a country villa.

Prices for the purchase of housing are determined by various factors, such as the location of the area, proximity to retail establishments and the sea, accessibility to transport, condition and comfort of the housing itself.

For foreigners, the purchase of real estate is allowed in equity with Thai residents at least 51% only for condominiums. Only citizens of the country can officially buy other real estate. However, there are ways to legally own property in Thailand for foreigners:

For owners or managers of the company (with a share of Thais at least 51%) it is possible to use land and buildings decorated for a registered company.
- ownership of land registered for lease for up to thirty years with the right to renew.

Currently, legal registration of real estate transactions in Thailand is carried out exclusively in accordance with the law and in the interests of the owners.
