How to get from Krabi to Reilly: a guide for independent travelers
Reilly is a real paradise on the peninsula between Krabi and Ao Nang. ThailandThe uniqueness of this place is that it is completely cut off from the mainland by mountains and jungle, and you can only get here by boat. Reilly is the perfect place for those who are looking for privacy and peace, or just want to spend a day here like we did.
If you are planning a trip to Railly, you have several route options. The easiest and most popular is a day trip from Krabi. This is a great opportunity not only to visit Reilly, but also to explore six other islands, do snorkeling and enjoy a barbecue on the beach at sunset. Sounds good, doesn't it?
The Reilly Peninsula lies between Krabi’s two districts: Krabi city in the south and Ao Nang in the north. Ao Nang is a developed beach resort and Krabi is the provincial capital. We came to Krabi from Koh Tao Island, spent a couple of days there, and then went to Railly. If you are not planning a long beach holiday or are not fond of rock climbing, then Reilly can be safely considered as a day trip.
Reilly is famous for its beaches, especially the picturesque Phra Nang beach, cave and climbing opportunities. This place is ideal for both beginners and experienced climbers.
If you decide to stay in Reilly for a few days, we advise you to book accommodation in advance, as the best hotels are dismantled a few weeks before the arrival date.
