In cinema, genres of horror, mysticism, etc. are extremely popular. Fans of “tickling nerves” are attracted to old abandoned places, in search of new sensations they are ready to go to strange mysterious and really terrible points. In the world there are a few particularly creepy places known to everyone. In addition, it is not difficult to get there - they are all open to visitors.
One of the most famous places is Pripyat in Ukraine. A dead city, a ghost town – since 1986, after the Chernobyl accident, this place has been closed. Thousands of people left their homes, leaving their belongings behind. The level of radiation is still above normal, but lovers of everything terrible and terrible come to Pripyat from all over the world. More recently, there began to arrange excursions from a safe distance, where there is no increased level of radiation, the passage is closed to the dead city itself. But this does not stop people - things in the houses are sorted out for souvenirs, daredevils walk around the city even at night, and then tell terrible stories. This city still excites the imagination of both ordinary people and filmmakers, who still make films about the ghost town.
No less terrible place is located in the Czech Republic, in the city of Kutna Hora. It is in this city that there is a famous bone. The interior of the chapel inspires truly terrible sensations. The coat of arms of the once ruling family, which owned the suburb, chandelier, interior decoration – all made of human bones. Back in the Middle Ages, there was not enough space in the local cemetery, so from the 13th century bones were taken and stored from graves that were not cared for. And by the end of the 17th century, the owners decided to somehow arrange the bones, so they invited a carver named Rent. He not only ordered all this chaos, but also created these interior items. Now you can admire this “deadly” art at any time.
Not far from the Czech Republic, Transylvania has the famous Dracula Castle. This character became one of the most famous in the history of literature and cinema. The prototype of the count was taken from the voivode Vlad Tepes, who according to legends was tortured in the castle of Bran (now it is the castle of Dracula). The majestic medieval castle, standing on a rock, inspires awe. The castle was handed over to different owners, at one time it was a royal residence. The castle now houses the Museum of History and Medieval Art. And the place still flocks tourists to look at the famous castle of Dracula.
In the United States, too, there were terrible and terrible places. In sunny California in the city of San Jose is the Winchester house. This majestic structure with more than one and a half hundred rooms, dozens of stairs and doors is a giant labyrinth. According to one of the legends, the widow Sarah Winchester dreamed of her husband, who told her that the whole fortune of the family was cursed, built on human bones and ghosts would take revenge on her. So she needs to build a house, the construction must not stop, or she will die. According to another legend, a fortune teller told about the spirits of Sarah Winchester. One way or another, but the construction of this mansion lasted 38 years, until the death of the hostess. Now there are guided tours, but the group should not be left behind - it is a labyrinth where the stairs go nowhere, in the middle of the wall open doors.
Last but not least, there is a place in Mexico. On the island of La Isla de la Muneca, dolls with empty eye sockets hang on the trees, without arms or legs, in the style of classic horror films. According to stories, Don Julian Santana once saw a girl drown, and at the place of her death he found a doll, then another. That's what he put on the trees. And then for almost 50 years, he looked for dolls in markets and trash and hung them up. As a result, he built a hut on the island and stayed there. Soon the island went under water (which sometimes happens in that part), when the island reappeared, only dolls remained on it. According to legend, these dolls were intended for this drowned girl, and also served as a talisman from evil spirits, of which there are a lot.
