Attractions of the Urals: Sanctuary Large Allaki
On the shore of Lake Big Allaki (Chelyabinsk region), north of the city chelyabinsk and south of the city ekaterinburg There is an interesting and unique monument of history and archaeology.
On the southeastern shore of the lake there are 14 granite rocks – Large stone tents, altar of Allaki.
The shape of most of the rocks is bizarre - there are bowls and through holes, one cliff looks like a sphinx, another looks like a human face, but only from a certain point of view and in a special light.
In 1914, an amazing archaeological monument was discovered and described by Russian and Soviet archaeologist Vladimir Yakovlevich Tolmachev, he managed to describe the cave paintings.
They are now lost due to the rash actions of tourists - travelers smeared them with paint or they got smoked due to the spontaneous breeding of fires.
Archaeologist Vladimir Tolmachev was able to date his findings to the era of the Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age - next to the rocks he found arrowheads made of bronze and stone, ceramic fragments, granite slab, spear and idol made of copper.
It is believed that these rocks were chosen by ancient people as a sanctuary more than 7 thousand years ago and performed regular sacrifices on them.
From the rocks there is a picturesque view of the lake, and in good weather in the west you can see the Potanin Mountains and the Cherry Mountains. The bottom of the lake - sand and stones, in the summer on its shores a lot of vacationers and fishermen - catch yarsh, whitefish, pike, roach, carp.
Small tents are located on the western shore of Lake Big Allaki, but by now the scribes from them have been lost.
