Kazan - the most colorful two-day route
Kazan One of the most popular tourist routes of our country. The city, which is the envy of all patented brand “Third capital of Russia”.
Here it is impossible to remain indifferent: rich history, stunning architecture, friendly smiles of locals, the sweetest chak-chak with tea and delicious echpochmak, what could be better?
Most tourists come to Kazan for a couple of days or a weekend. Studying information about this beautiful city, you involuntarily begin to worry that you will not be able to see everything planned. The program is really rich, but two days is enough to see all the main attractions and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this city.
We have prepared a two-day itinerary, following which you will have time to visit the most interesting and significant places.
Day 1.
Attractions in Kazan are enough, but the big plus is that they are concentrated close to each other. First of all, go to the Kazan Kremlin – this is the most popular place among tourists. Entrance to the territory is free, and the number of significant cultural and historical sites and museums is simply huge.
A leisurely walk along the cobblestone paths, preserved from the time of the Golden Horde, already gives a lot of pleasure. The white stone walls, amazing architecture and scale are amazing - you can walk here for hours.
The main attractions to see in the Kremlin:
Syuyumbike Tower
Just like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, the Syuyumbike Tower belongs to the amazing “falling” towers of the world. You'll never miss her.
Palace (Introduction) Church
It has long been a non-functioning church, the cross was removed from the dome and now the museum “History of the Statehood of the Tatar People and the Republic of Tatarstan” is located in the building.
Presidential Palace
Once the most important people of the city sat here: Kazan khans, governors, Presidium of the Supreme Council, etc. and the whole view of this building reminds us of this. Going inside, of course, will not work, but you need to admire the outside. Also, the Presidential Palace occupies the highest point of the Kazan Kremlin, so you can see the entire Kremlin from here.
Kul Mosque - Sharif
The stunning beauty of the snow-white mosque with 6 minarets, a dome and spires painted in turquoise color is amazing. The interior is no less luxurious - marble floor, crystal chandelier. A real fairytale castle.
Annunciation Cathedral
Snow-white walls and blue domes with a golden pattern, repeat the colors of the mosque Kul Sharif. The Annunciation Cathedral is the center of pilgrimage, here is the shrine of the Orthodox world - the cell of Archbishop Guria with the image of the Savior Not Made with Hands.
Most of these attractions can be seen both outside and inside. Almost every one of them has a museum. You can get acquainted with the schedule of the visit and the cost of tickets on the official website of the Kazan Kremlin.
Then we go to walk along the embankment, admire the views and breathe fresh air. On the way, you can look into a couple of souvenir shops or lie down to relax on special wooden beds right by the water.
The next attraction is the Palace of Farmers.
farmers' palace
A magnificent building, not inferior in beauty to the palaces of Europe. In the center of its arch is a huge monumental bronze tree - a symbol of prosperity and prosperity. In the evening, the palace and the tree are illuminated by colorful illumination, which is fascinating, but also during the day the impressions are amazing. On the contrary, there is the Park of the Palace of Farmers, green, equipped with benches and walkways. It offers stunning views of the Kazan Kremlin and other attractions.
After such a rich program, be sure to go to the main pedestrian street of the city - Bauman, popularly called Baumanka. Noisy, crowded, with many street musicians and artists. Walking, you will definitely choose your favorite restaurant or cafe of Tatar cuisine, where you will try echpochmaki, horse meat in Tatar and other famous dishes.
Day 2.
In the morning, it is best to go to the Temple of All Religions (Ecumenical Temple), a unique building of Kazan and Russia. Another name is the Temple of the Seven Religions. The complex consists of Orthodox and Catholic churches, Muslim and Buddhist mosques, a Chinese pagoda, a synagogue and altars of extinct religions. This amazing place was created as a symbol of the unity of the spiritual heritage of all mankind.
Bright, unusual, unlike anything building attracts many tourists. Even if you do not consider yourself one of the religions represented in this complex, it is worth visiting. Walking, enjoying, learning new things is what it is worth coming here for.
After a walk through this amazing place, we go to the Riviera water park. One of the largest water parks in the world, where more than 50 attractions and entertainments are collected. A huge complex consisting of a covered part, open all year round, and a summer zone with swimming pools, slides, a Ferris wheel and stunning views of the river and the city.
Here you can spend a good part of the day, or even the whole day. Enough to swim and laugh, relax body and soul. And then go for a walk around the city, without a clear plan, just enjoying this wonderful city, viewing interesting houses and monuments.
You can definitely stay in Kazan for a couple more days to explore the city and its history in more detail. But the weekend is enough to touch this beautiful and amazing place. And even in two days, we promise, you will fall in love with the third capital of Russia and will definitely want to return again.
